Kirsten creates drawings and paintings to record a thought or inspiration; a moment in time. Often these are ideas for larger pieces. Themes include favourite places, natural form or objects discovered on a journey or a walk on the beach. She creates simple studies that capture ideas and happy memories.

Caught in the seas around Great Britain, bright and beautiful, these sardines are wonderful to sketch and delicious to eat. This piece also incorporates an antique plate chosen from Kirsten’s collection. The detail on the plate complements the delicate form of the fish and the combination of the two is Kirsten’s favourite theme for a sketch or a painting.
