This collection of hand embellished, unique pieces captures the passion and happiness a particular place can evoke. Larger and smaller sizes are available, each piece is created to order so do get in touch with a size or budget you have in mind. Bespoke artworks with sketches, logos initials or images personal to you.
Inspired by amulets and milagros (ancient symbols of love and protection) the heart symbols reference local places, landmarks, discovered details and histories. The expressive brushstrokes are inspired by map references, as if taking a journey around the town and local area.
Fragments of music scores, architectural elements, patterns, historical information, recipes, ancient script and maps are often included to tell the story of a place. Part of a series of original paintings where the love hearts illustrate the passions we all hold for places, travel, nature... the list is endless!

Below are a few sketches included in my Love Heart pieces. Some are places you will recognise, others are sketches to celebrate special birthdays or personal memories that were added to create a bespoke piece.
I create a webpage for each bespoke artwork so they can see the work as it progresses
Lead times vary ( the process is fun so people don’t want to rush it!) but I can create a piece in as little as 10 days
Each bespoke piece is costed separately but essentially:
Existing love heart pieces start at £95-£350 for artworks depending on size and I can add 3 details ie initials, words etc for an extra £50
Embellished pieces are £495 for a large mounted love heart piece based on one of the existing artworks.. eg Love Oxford, Love Woodstock with up to 10 additions ie photos/ text etc
For fully bespoke artworks where we start from scratch to illustrate the story of a person or a couple, the colours of a wedding, bouquet, music, family friends and special stories plus venue sketches it starts at around £1200 and I can frame and use gold and silver leaf as well.
