All about Louise!
A gift from her parents after GCSE exams, a commissioned bespoke artwork for Louise aged 16.
The outcome will fit a space and include memories from her life so far, favourite things, interests and aspirations!
When Louise goes to University she can take a large print of the piece for her halls, home from home wherever she goes!
Process
I updated ideas and edits on this page, and the work was seen as it developed. The questions led to changes and I updated the ‘Work in progress’ images as the piece evolved. Very exciting!
Style
A collection of ‘things’,.. splashes and vibrant colour and fun

Started with a very important piece of paper… the perfect place to start!
Colour Palette
Pink will be in there somewhere, colours to be decided as we go… pastels and black and white photos

A bedroom wall.. we have a choice of 2 walls
Artwork
Ok so the piece will be created in a digital format with sketches overlaid . The concept is ‘All about you’ so this project is titled ‘All about Louise’
Sketches, colours, logos, brands, show promos, photos.. whatever we discover, all will be layered and created as a piece that can easily be edited as we go until the design captures everything that Louise wants to include.
It will be bright, fun and full of stories.. a real talking point. A print can be created (on paper/ roled canvas.. so that her uni room is awesome the minute she moves in.. and the colour light will also go with her… ( coolest room in halls! )
The final outcome for bedroom at home will be printed on acrylic.. modern, durable and fabulous.
The ‘All about you’ pieces tell a story… to capture chapters of life.. perhaps after A levels, Uni, or weddings..
If Louise decides to do this later the pieces will be the same height, so join to the side of the original piece, creating an artwork that grows with her.

A creative workshop and floristry session
A lovely day spent choosing flowers and creating sketches inspired by flowers and foliage in the studio. Quality time together and a chance to contribute to the final artwork.

Daniel, Caroline and Louise each had a board for their pieces and the final pieces were gorgeous.. some with straighter lines than others!
These pieces will now be added to the ‘All about Louise’ artwork.

Sketches of important places and things.. with added washes of colour
The latest version, includes 16 butterflies ( one for every year) and photos from the recent art workshop, as well as a microphone and selected pieces created by Caroline, Daniel and Louise. I love it.. It’s beautifully busy and there will be lots to see the more you look. any changes/ additions let me know!
