A beautiful bunch of spring flowers, a gift from a company called Freddies Flowers who deliver natural bunches of seasonal flowers across the uk.

It was Springtime and the flowers caught the morning light in my studio which looks out onto my garden. Last year I planted vegetables and although the crop has been very small ( 5 aubergines, 2 beetroots, 15 peapods and 4 carrots) …the butterflies absolutely love the leaves so I prefer to think of my tiny vegetable patch as a butterfly sanctuary rather than a smallholding!

The butterflies are collaged, hidden amongst the flowers and as I was listening to opera I created the background using collaged music.
