The Room where the final piece will hang

This piece is where it started.. Elements of this artwork will be used but the animal /s will be connected to South Africa and involve a very special cat and dog!

Resources and ideas are below, any images used will be sketched and edited to fit the aesthetic of the piece…

WORK IN PROGRESS

Below are the first stages of the artwork. I’ve chosen a wider format as it will fit nicely over the sofa. All colours and combos can change.. at this stage Ive chosen pink as the background as it works really well with the Springboks palette of yellow and green. Everything is up for discussion but I will develop the idea over the next few days.I will make edits as we go.. we can then look at it together at some point. Gold leaf will be added to the piece in selected yellow areas.

The ‘Star’ of the show
Currently the ‘LoveKat’.. same as the one you saw Helen. This could however be a sketched version of Finn if you like that idea. I’ll just need a photo straight on with a clear background with his paws included!

• images created from bee friendly plants from Helen and Lee’s garden and SA ( examples above are also used in rugby shirt design)

• Hidden Rugby ball?
