‘The Henley Chocolate Cafe’

This page is a framework for discussion. Our partnership, the new look 'Henley Chocolate Cafe' and ultimately the book... our journey.

I imagine sharing the venture ( and the load..) working together to create a vision for the hub of Henley, with fun and creativity high on the list. I think we make a great team and the potential is endless.

I have listed what I imagine my roles may be ( all for review) Your job roles are blank at the moment so if you want to have a think and email me, I will update. We can also add other staff / service roles as we expand the concept.

You mentioned profit share 50/50 for events which is great. My role is also relevant to the day to day running and revenue, so it would be good to chat about what you have in mind.

Possible models for my contribution moving forward listed below:

Freelance - randomly bill by the hour for the work I do on an adhoc basis

Contract / retainer - a mutually agreed fixed number of hours a month billable monthly

Employed - agreed job description, working hours, salary paid monthly.

Consultant - defined project scope, costed outcomes and invoice as the project is delivered

Partner - buy / invest in the business, agree on my role, percentage share of profits after costs

Associate - Independent but hold a complementary role that is independent of the main operation, percentage share of profits after costs

Possibly a combination of Associate for the evening events and Freelance or Contract for the other stuff would work well.

  • WEBSITE: adapt existing or design, create, maintain new

  • PRINT: cafe signs, vouchers, notices etc as required 

  • THE BOOK: created together with love.. and ingredients above!
