Featured Artwork: Nest 2

I am posting updates and special offers for my followers and customers in the hope they add a bit of a smile during these tricky times. So, as isolation at home continues I thought this piece was relevant as we are all in our respective nests! Hopefully you are all managing and staying safe.

I am also doing a lot of gardening and can see pairs of Blackbirds, Robins, Blue Tits and Wrens nesting by my studio (plus an unidentified brown bird…) I am feeding them all and looking forward to warmer weather when the chicks will hatch!

Sending best wishes during lockdown, thanks for following my posts, Kirsten

Information about ‘Nest 2 by Kirsten Jones

I live by the river so Egyptian geese, swans, ducks, moorhens, and all the other wild birds are a big feature in the garden. The two nest paintings were inspired by a nest, which fell from a tree during a storm with high winds. The nest was not in use at the time, but it had clearly had very precious contents at some stage! The pieces were painted on the outside of a champagne box to represent the idea of fragile contents.. the ‘twigs’ are lines of text describing eggs and nesting habits. The nest series are available wrapped, rolled, mounted or framed and prices start at £30
