Inspired by Henley... latest painting with collaged local maps

I have been working on sketches and collecting text on local themes, this is the first finished work inspired by my home, Henley on Thames.
The bridge is such a beautiful architectural feature, I wanted to capture it at this time of year when just a few of the boats are left on the moorings and the colours are soft and tress still bright with green leaves.

View of Henley bridge 1: Collaged within the clouds and water are fragments of a local map showing local towns and villages, streets and waterways. Cool neutrals and blues offset the bright greens.

I am creating limited edition prints of this piece and these will be on display in The Chocolate Cafe later this month. If you are interested in the original, please follow the link below.
