This collection captures the passion, happiness and shared history of two people, their friends and family.
Inspired by amulets and milagros (ancient symbols of love and protection) the heart symbols reference local places, landmarks, discovered details and histories. The expressive brushstrokes are inspired by map references and symbols, as if taking a journey.
Fragments of music scores, architectural elements, patterns, historical information, recipes, ancient script and maps tell the story of a
love between 2 people and their family.

You built a big family,

Grandpa loves skiing,
Fast down the snow,
Lighting big bonfires,
Watching them glow.
He sorts out all the bins,
Keeps everything just right,
And tells the very best stories
When we go to bed at night.
He travels to new places,
Near and far away,
And works hard in the garden
Helping things grow each day.
Granny Jeanny is wonderful,
The best host we know,
With delicious food and warmth
That always seems to glow.
She picks the nicest clothes for us,
So we all look our best,
And brings us all together
For fun and happy rest.
With a few four-legged friends
Who’ve joined along the way,
Your home is full of love and life
Each and every day.
You’ve shown us what love is,
Kind, strong, and true,
And we are so lucky
To learn it from you.
