View fromThe Old Quay House, Fowey

Inspired by the very fabulous ‘Old Quay House’ in Fowey, Cornwall.

The terrace has a splendid view over the river and towards the estuary at any time of year! The rooms look out onto a river that meets the sea like paint on a palette.

The colours are spectacular and they change constantly throughout the day. This piece

captures the transient nature of a view that sparkles with light over every shade of turquoise to deep, deep blues, just divine. When the tide is out the sand below the terrace is a source of fascination with its driftwood, stones and ropes to moored boats.

Definitely one of my favourite hotels anywhere!
