Sitwell Chair

The first piece in the series, this is where the project began…

‘Sitwell Red’ was a colour created for the grandson of Edith Sitwell to paint his library.

The chair was discovered in a beautiful Chateau in France. The pattern was inspired by the actual antique chair with additions taken from the original book jacket of a collection of poems by Edith Sitwell.
