Pick a date and invite some friends. I can do the rest!

I will bring a selection of pieces ( you can choose a theme if you wish).

I then present a short talk about my art work and inspiration.

In addition I can run a mini workshop where your guests create a small collage or artwork of their own

Your guests each get to choose 6 cards as a gift (value £18 pp)

All pieces are for sale and you get a free framed piece ( or voucher for £100) as a thank you Plus 10% on any sales go to you or a charity of your choice. You can add a creative art workshop for your guests for an additional £20 per person.

Workshop:

Inspired by the colours of spring flowers, the session will centre around ‘flowers in a treacle pot’ painted using fragments of collaged music.

No skills or experience necessary! It will be a lighthearted creative day and chance to play with colour and collage.

We will consider the stories in a selection of my flower pieces and I will demonstrate my colour mixing techniques and use of painting palette. After creating a few swatches and experimental studies there will be opportunity to create a flower artwork on paper.

Sketchbooks:

Throughout the day we will work on a mini sketchbook that maps the progress of your ideas… These are a favourite feature of my workshops and become souvenirs to keep and collect, mapping your progress as you do different art workshops. Feel free to bring your previous books along.

Resources:

Flowers ( create your own bunch) and take them home at the end.

Studio gallery, library of books for inspiration, computer and printer as resource for experimentation.

Various papers, vintage and collected collage resources, inks, paints and pencils including gold Karisma for detailing. Sitting room with real fire and my little garden for thinking time.

Guests can bring a few of their own vintage papers, music scores, poems, envelopes or photos to use in their pieces

(11.30) Creating a bunch of flowers.. using a beautiful collection of potted plants, fresh flowers and foliage from my garden
(11.45) creative task ‘Take 5’
(12.00) Considering ‘Flowers in a treacle Pot’, inspirations and other pieces, critique and personal responses
(12.30) Swatches! Materials and inspiration intro, demonstration and examples. Experimentation and expressive mark making
(1 ish) Lunch
(2.00) Composition, narrative and sketching, planning final artworks, individually paced
